Fidel Castro Legacy

Born as Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz on August 13, 1926. He was the third of six children. His mother and father were Angel Castro, and Lina Ruz Gonzalez. His father was a self-made man who had emigrated from Spain towards the end of the last century, after having participated in the last independence war as a conscript in the Spanish army. His mother had been a maid and cook of the household during his father’s first marriage to Maria Luisa Argota. His father formally recognized Fidel at age 17, whe he had divorced his first wife and married Fidel's Mother. Fidel was born and raised in a wealthy family. He

 attended private schools, even though Cuba was a struggling country that was very poor. Fidel was extremely intelligent, but was alot more interested in playing sports.He attended The College of Belen and pitched for the school baseball team. Later Fidel enrolled at the University of Havana to study law. Fidel Castro was intrested in Cuban nationalism, socialism, anti-imperialism, and social justice. Casto joined several groups to overthrow corrupt governments and once he was the ruler of Cuba his goal was to better the people of the country. Unfortunately Fidel's power turned to the worst and he adopted Marxism-Leninism.
